Graduate Life at Trinity

Trinity MCR is a friendly, tight-knit and inclusive community. As the second-smallest MCR of the Oxford colleges, we’re known for our close friendships across the whole of the MCR cohort.

Our home is in the heart of Oxford, a gorgeous 17th century building in Trinity College called Kettell Hall, with a cosy common room. Take a look at the photos below to get a feeling of what being a member of the MCR at Trinity is like.

The MCR Common Room

This is our Common Room on the main Trinity site, in the centre of Oxford. You can make tea or coffee here, or relax on the sofas and watch a film on the large projector screen.

This is the home of the MCR on Trinity’s main-site, housing our Common Room and MCR Kitchen, as well as 14 graduates on-site.

Each year, the MCR holds a Ceilidh in the main Hall - always a popular event!

Eating in Hall

With cheap breakfast, lunch and dinner served daily in Hall during term time, there’s always an MCR contingent to join.

MCR "T" Bop 2019

Hosted in the desanctified chapel of The Nunnery, one of Trinity’s offsite accommodation properties, we have two or three bops a term. These are organised parties with free drinks for MCR members, and usually a theme.

Lunch options in Hall

Trinity is known for its excellent quality of food. But not only is quality high, quantity is too! There are normally around 12 options at lunch, which cater for all dietary requirements.

Games of darts and pool are also frequent challenges post-formals in the Beer Cellar

Formal Dinners

There are weekly Guest Nights at College which are black-tie with a three/four-course served meal, showcasing the chef’s best meals.

Special nights in the bar

This looks like a pyjama party in the Beer Cellar (the college bar). Cute!
